Privacy Policy

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

 

Since 25 May 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016) (for short, the Regulation) has been in force.

The Regulation lays down rules concerning the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and rules concerning the free movement of personal data.

AMOIRIDIS SAVIDIS SA is responsible for the processing of personal data in relation to its consumer products, services and websites.

The headquarters of our company is located in Greece.

With this text we request your consent to the processing of your personal data by AMOIRIDIS-SAVVIDIS SA.

We hereby provide you with the following information:

  • The purposes of the processing for which your personal data are intended and the legal basis for the processing of your personal data.
  • The categories of your personal data that we collect.
  • The recipients or categories of recipients of your data.
  • The measures we take to ensure the security of your personal data.
  • The length of time for which your personal data will be stored.
  • Your rights under the Regulation.
  • Links to other sites.
  • Children’s privacy policy.
  • The identity of our company and our contact details.

 

1. PURPOSE OF PROCESSING & LEGAL BASIS

 

The purpose of the processing is:

The execution of the sales contracts of our company’s products.

The customer service and the provision of after-sales services (warranty, returns and other services)

The training of our company’s staff and the quality assurance of the services provided by our company, especially in relation to the customer service staff in the call centres, email and other support centres.

Providing on your behalf your views on our company’s products and services and conducting product surveys.

Providing you with information when you contact our company about the products and services of AMOIRIDIS-SAVVIDIS S.A.

Conducting sweepstakes and contests, providing gifts and other promotional activities.

The provision of newsletters and other communications by e-mail, telephone and/or text messages (SMS). Details follow in the section under the heading ‘Content marketing communications’.

The generation of anonymous, aggregated statistics about the use of our websites, products and services, which our company may share with third parties and/or make publicly available.

Monitoring our websites, online services and emails to protect you, our employees and our partners. This information may be provided to the police or other relevant authorities.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1) of the Regulation.

 

2. CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA WE PROCESS

 

We do not process personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic or biometric data.

Otherwise, our company may collect information about you in various ways. Please be careful when submitting information to us, especially when filling in free text fields or uploading documents and other material. Some of our services are automated and if you inadvertently provide us with incorrect or sensitive information, we may not be able to detect it.

Our company collects information that you provide to us or information we select from other sources or information on social networks.

 

Information you provide us

 

In any “interaction” with our company you may be asked to provide us with information in relation to you. For example:

  • Some of our services, such as product declaration, require you to create an account. When creating an account, you are typically asked for information such as your first and last name and contact information.
  • When you declare or send for repair or return a product to us via our online form, email message or even by telephone with our customer service centre, you may be asked to provide us with information such as your contact details, date of purchase, store of purchase and payment details.
  • When you contact our customer service centres for assistance, we may retain information about the call, such as your first and last name, the relevant product, the reason why you contacted us and the advice we gave you.
  • When you visit us at a public event (e.g. a trade show) or participate in one of our surveys, competitions or sweepstakes, we may ask you for information such as your professional status, your first and last name, your contact details, your interests and preferences regarding our products and services.

 

Information we collect from other sources

 

  • We may also collect information from publicly available sources and third parties in circumstances such as the following:
  • When you wish to purchase a product/service from us, we may carry out credit and financial checks to ensure that there is no fraudulent payment activity and that you have the appropriate creditworthiness.
  • When we conduct telephone sales communications to businesses, we may use the business’s published contact details.

 

Information we collect on social networks

 

If you use any of our social networking apps, pages or plugins or any of our products or services that allow interaction with social networks, we may receive information regarding your accounts on those social networks.

For example:

  • If you connect to any of our websites or services with an account you use on a social network, we may obtain your basic information from your profile on that social network. The content and extent of the basic information we receive depends on the privacy settings of your individual account, but may include your ID, name, profile picture, gender and local settings. We may also receive additional information about your profile if you grant us permission to access it.
  • If you click on a “like”, “+1” or “tweet” button or similar button on any of our websites or services, we may record that fact. Also, the content you view may be published on your profile or on your and your friends’ feeds on the relevant social network. We may receive information about further interactions with this published content (for example, if your contacts click on a link in the published content), which we may associate with the details we maintain in relation to you.
  • If you click on a “like”, “+1” or similar button on our pages on a social networking site, we may receive information about your profile on that social network, always depending on your account privacy settings.

Content marketing communications

 

 

When you provide us with contact information, for example when you purchase a product or contact one of our customer service centers or create an account for some of our services, or participate in a contest, you may be given the opportunity to subscribe (or in some cases, where applicable law permits, unsubscribe) to receive various newsletters and other communications from Amiridis Savides S.A., via email, telephone and/or text message (SMS).

You may change your preferences for receiving marketing communications at any time. If you wish to be removed from the mailing list of an email sent to you, please follow the unsubscribe link and/or the instructions (usually) at the bottom of the email. However, we point out the following:

If you use more than one email address to communicate with Amiridis Savides S.A., you must unsubscribe separately for each of these addresses.

  • This method simply removes you from the mailing lists of newsletters or communications you have received and you will need to use one of the other methods if you wish to unsubscribe from the mailing lists for all Amiridis Savides S.A. content marketing communications.

You can contact us using the information listed in the “Controller’s identity and contact details” section below to change your preferences for receiving marketing communications.

Please note that we may from time to time send you important information about the Amiridis Savides S.A. products and services that you use/have used. These emails are not affected by your personal preferences in receiving marketing communications.

 

3. RECIPIENTS OR CATEGORIES OF RECIPIENTS OF YOUR DATA

 

 

In general, our company does not disclose information about you to third parties without your consent. However, there are some exceptions:

A) To our service providers:

We may use third party service providers to process your information on our behalf , for the purposes set out above. For example, to execute orders, deliver packages, send text messages (SMS), provide marketing support, provide fraud screening and provide customer service.

The service providers we work with act in accordance with our instructions only, always in compliance with this policy and are bound by appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

B) Legal and business purposes:

We may use and/or disclose information about you to third parties such as:

  • government agencies and law enforcement authorities, to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with the law, and to meet a reasonable request from those agencies and authorities.
  • third parties (including professional advisors) to enforce or defend the legal rights of Amiridis Savides S.A.

Regarding the disclosure of information by you:

Some of the Amiridis Savides S.A. web services allow you to upload and share messages, photos, videos and other content and links.

You should not expect that any of the information you share with others through social networking sites will be kept private or confidential. The content and links you share, for example, may be forwarded by your recipients to others. You should always behave with discretion when using such services.

 

4. PROCESSING SECURITY

 

 

The security of your personal data is extremely important to our company. We take all appropriate organizational and technical measures to ensure that your personal data collected in the context of this statement are processed in accordance with the requirements of the legislation on the protection of natural persons with regard to such processing.

These measures include, where applicable, the following:

  • use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption when collecting or transferring sensitive information, (SSL encryption is designed in such a way as to make the data unreadable to anyone other than us).
  • Restricting access to the information we collect about you (for example, access is only allowed to staff members who need your information to conduct our business).
    implementing physical, electronic and procedural security measures in compliance with industry standards.

 

5. THE PERIOD FOR WHICH YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL BE STORED

 

We undertake to keep your personal data for a period of up to five (5) years after the completion of our cooperation.
By way of exception, only in the case where specific Community or national rules apply (e.g. tax legislation) is the storage of data extended to a longer period.

They are then deleted in such a way that they cannot be retrieved.

 

6. YOUR RIGHTS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REGULATIONS

 

Under the Regulation, you may also exercise the following rights under the provisions of the Regulation:

  • Access and rectification of your personal data in case of processing of inaccurate data concerning you.
  • Deletion of your personal data in case they are no longer necessary for the provision of a service.
  • Restriction of the processing of your data.
  • Opposition to the processing of your data.
  • Data portability to another controller , i.e. your right to receive your data in an appropriate format so that it is technically feasible to transfer it to another controller.
  • In addition, you reserve the right to submit a written complaint to the competent supervisory authority regarding the protection of personal data, namely the Data Protection Authority (1-3 Kifissia Street, P.C. 115 23 Athens, + 30 210 6475600, contact email contact@dpa.gr).

 

7. LINKS TO OTHER SITES

 

Some of our websites may contain links to other websites that do not belong to any of the companies of Amiridis Savides S.A.

While Amiridis Savides S.A. endeavours to provide links only to sites that meet Amiridis Savides S.A.’s high standards and privacy protection, we are not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of any such site. You should read the privacy and cookie management policies of each website to learn how your personal information can/may be used.

 

8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY POLICY

 

For Amiridis Savvidis S.A., a “child” is any person under the age of 16. We do not solicit or collect any personal information from or about any child without the consent of the person having parental responsibility.

If Amiridis Savides S.A. becomes aware that any information it has obtained relates to a child for whom the necessary consent of the person having parental responsibility has not been obtained, it will make every reasonable effort to:

  • delete this information from its records as soon as possible; and
  • ensure, if deletion is not possible, that such information is not used for any further purpose and is not further disclosed to any third party.
